  GOALS of ONESQA

The quality assurance of all educational institutions is aimed at through their obligation to receive external assessment at least once in every five years. Quality assessment in an educational process for providing the learners, parents, community and society with confidence and assurance of the educational institutions' ability to offer services of the quality and standard required. The collective efforts of the state and private sectors will undoubtedly be most beneficial to the development of education quality and enhancement of Thailand's competitiveness in the world community.

 

  GOALS and Expected outcomes of The ONESQA for 2006-2010

* Encouraging a total of 41,500 educational institutions to carry out internal quality assurance so as to be prepared for external assessment for 2006 - 2010;
* Selection and training of external assessors:

- 5,000 for basic education
- 500 for higher education
- 600 for vocational education;
* Preparation of external assessment manuals on 5 topics:
- Basic Education
- Higher Education
- Vocational Education
- Specialized Education
- Non-formal Education;
* Quality assessment of 41,500 educational institutions:
* Creating bodies of knowledge on educational quality assurance on 40 topics;
* Annual reports on quality of education at each level and overall report as well as policy recommendations for each level and overall suggestions at the end of the 5 - year assessment; and
* Availability of the plan and system for knowledge management.
