MoU Signing Ceremony between ONESQA and JUAA at Santhawamitr Meeting Room, ONESQA

          On January 6, 2017, Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA) and Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding on QA cooperation. The ceremony was witnessed by delegates from JUAA, ONESQA executives and staff.

          At 6.30 pm, Mr. Nawin Wiyaporn, Acting Director of ONESQA welcomed JUAA delegates, composed of Dr. Kyosuke Nagata, President of JUAA; Mr. Jun Kudo, Executive Director and Ms. Kazuyo Hara, Associate Director. The two parties had presented the overview of external quality assurance of Thailand and Japan.

          On this occasion, Dr. Nagata expressed his condolences on the passing of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej.  Dr. Nagata remarked that JUAA was pleased to sign the MoU to cooperate with ONESQA in order to develop QA systems of both Japan and Thailand.

          JUAA is one of the three principle external quality assurance agencies in Japan and it is the oldest organization among them. The main responsibility of JUAA is to accredit the quality of both public and private institutions of higher learning in Japan and the accreditation processes are similar to the Thai system.
