Chairman, Committee for Development of Assessment Systems for Higher Education participated in the 2017 INQAAHE Conference in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain

On 27 February to 2 March 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Chitpong, Chairman of the Committee for Development of Assessment Systems for Higher Education participated in the 2017 International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) Conference at the Gulf  Hotel’s Convention Center in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

The theme of 2017 INQAAHE Conference in Manama is “Between Collaboration and Competition: The Promises and Challenges for Quality Assurance in Higher Education”. The topics for presentation     include the quality assurance for competitive advantage in the markets for national and international students, the quality assurance breaking down barriers for students and providers, are we closer to a global QA and qualifications framework?, and the quality assurance agenda for the next 25 years.

During the 2017 INQAA Conference in Manama, Prof. Dr. Prasert Chitpong had met several foreign partners of ONESQA such as Dr. Angela Yung-Chi Hou, Executive Director, Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan; Dr. Akihiko Kawaguchi, Chief Director, Institution for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Professional Higher Education, National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE); Ms. Kesang Choden Dorji, Director, Department of Adult and Higher Education, Bhutanese Ministry of Education; and Mr. Ghulam Asghar Channa, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

INQAAHE is the global principal network of external quality assurance agencies with more than 300 members from all regions of the world and ONESQA is one of the full members of the network. The 2017 INQAAHE Conference in Manama had attracted more than 300 participants from its members that provided participants to share and exchange their perspectives and experiences on the quality assurance.
