Overview

The International Conference on Quality Assurance 2014 (ICQA2014) on the theme “Quality Assurance, Quality Building and Quality Culture" wad held on Dec 8-10, 2014 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

On Dec 8, 2014, the morning session started with the opening ceremony by Prof. Dr. Yongyuth Yuthavong, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, and followed by the Plaque of Honour ceremony, which the award are given to the professionals who lived up to quality assurance industry and those who established themselves for quality assurance and ONESQA. The international representatives who attended and received the Plaque of Honour are; Carol L. Bobby, Ph.D., Mr.Tony McAleavy and Dr.Haroon Rashid.

For the international session, the conference was successfully organized with the total of 102 people from 16 countries. On the first day of the international conference on December 8, 2014, ONESQA had a special signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four leading ASEAN quality assurance organizations including the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia, the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education from Indonesia, the Department of Higher Education of Upper Myanmar, and the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines. The MoU will support the sharing of experience and knowledge that is related to quality assurance that will lead to the accreditation among the QA organizations within ASEAN. Meanwhile, the ICQA was proud to have extensive knowledge and expertise shared by six keynote speakers from renowned quality assurance networks within Asia, the USA and Europe. Additionally, there were research presentations by professionals from Thai educational institutions.
