ONESQA hosted the 2024 International Staff Exchange Program on 28-29 March 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of a collaborative effort with JUAA and TWAEA. The three agencies were getting back together and having physical interactions after the effects of Covid-19 diminished.

Twelve staff members from ONESQA, JUAA, and TWAEA participated, as a means of strengthening international activities and building staff networking. A significant purpose of the staff exchange program was to enable the staff members from the three agencies to exchange information, practice presenting, and learn how to share perspectives on external quality assessment that their respective agencies were currently conducting.

Quality Assurance (QA) and Qualification Framework (QF) were the two key concepts of the 2024 Program. This year, participants had the opportunity to learn from guest speakers about the national and ASEAN qualifications framework. Among the guest speakers were

Dr. Kanjana Hongrat, Director of the National Qualifications Framework Policy Unit, Ministry of Education; Ms. Jullada Meejul, Director General, Thailand Professional Qualification Institute; and Mr. Jakkrapong Panyapoontragool, Senior Professional Educator, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

In this 2-day program, the Thailand National Qualifications Framework (NQF), Professional Qualifications, and ASEAN Qualifications Reference Framework (AQRF) were specifically highlighted for the staff members to have a better understanding of the linkage between educational qualification and occupation standards, as well as the relationship with AQRF.

Participants also visited to SEAMEO RIHED and AUN-QA as part of the program. By visiting regional organizations e.g. SEAMEO RIHED, the staff members could learn from foreign colleagues who were staff from other ASEAN nations. This might provide the staff membersa useful understanding of how people think and work internationally.
