Professor Ong-art Naiyapatana (Ph.D.), Director of the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (Public Organization) or ONESQA, together with Lcdr. Dr. Kittiya Evans, Deputy Director, and the International Relations Team, welcomed a representative from A.D.E., Belgium, Mr. Kevin Henkens, for a follow-up evaluation on strengthening the ASEAN quality assurance network, particularly under the EU SHARE project.

On this occasion, Professor Ong-art Naiyapatana shared his vision for sustaining and advancing the strength of the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN), emphasizing the expansion of assessments using the AQAF framework to cover all four components and all 17 organizations. This marks a significant progression from previous efforts, which has covered only two components and eight organizations. This vision will further harmonize quality assurance practices between ASEAN and Europe. 

Moreover, Professor Ong-art Naiyapatana proposed that the EU participate in and support the development of AQAN’s strategic plan and the establishment of an E-Journal, with of a focus on publishing issues of quality assurance, quality assessment and management, and program accreditation. He suggested that experts from the EU join the Editorial Board and serve as reviewers to enhance the journal’s quality, aiming for inclusion in the Scopus database. This journal would become a key platform for AQAN, serving as a primary reference and dissemination source for knowledge on higher education quality assurance.
