ONESQA Achieves International Recognition and Proactively Expands Its Role 13-16 May 2025,Tokyo, Japan
The Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment or ONESQA, led by Professor Ong-art Naiyapatana (Ph.D.), Director, along with LCdr. Kittiya Evans (Ph.D.), Deputy Director; Ms. Nuansupak Phoolsap, Head of International Affairs; and Ms. Punyisa Phumiphol, Academic Staff for Research and Knowledge Management, participated in and presented academic papers at the INQAAHE 18th Biennial Conference 2025 held in Tokyo, Japan, from 13-16 May 2025, under the theme “The Big Bang Theory: The Quality Assurance Paradigm Shift.” The event welcomed over 200 representatives from leading quality assurance agencies around the world.
At the conference, ONESQA was awarded the INQAAHE Certificate of Alignment, marking its compliance with international standards. In addition, ONESQA’s academic poster presentations on Joint Accreditation and the Application of AI in External Quality Assessment received significant interest from participants.
Furthermore, to broaden its international collaboration, ONESQA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with QAA of the United Kingdom to drive concrete cooperation. ONESQA also held strategic talks with ASIIN (Germany) on co-hosting a future international conference in Thailand. Additionally, ONESQA held discussions with the President of AQAN regarding a three-year strategic plan and continued to advance the International Joint Accreditation Standards (iJAS) Plus initiative through ongoing engagement with JUAA (Japan), TWAEA (Chinese–Taipei), and MNCEA (Mongolia). Since 2022, ONESQA has maintained consistent and substantive collaboration with these partner organizations to support the development of a Joint Accreditation framework.
ONESQA’s active participation in this conference underscores its commitment to advancing external quality assurance in Thailand through innovation and international collaboration.
