MQA Internship Programme

Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) sent three officers namely:  Ms. Supparang Intoon, Academic Officer of Assessment and Certification of Higher Education Institutions Section, Ms. Phusima Pinyosinwat, Academic Officer of Assessment and  Certification of Vocational Education Institutions Section, and Ms. Sininard Wangdee, Academic Officer of Foreign Relations Unit to attend the Internship Programme for Quality Assurance Officers organized by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) during September 26-30, 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The internship was divided into two parts, lecture and site visit by focusing on the higher education and quality assurance systems in Malaysia and facilitated the sharing of good practices and experiences among peer QA agencies and universities through the presentations, discussions, and observations during site visit.

On September 26-27, 2016, MQA started the programme by giving an overview of higher education and QA systems in Malaysia, followed by the presentation on quality framework, QA support services etc. On the following days, the internees were proceeded to site visit and observe the accreditation/institutional audit exercise at Kolej Anatarabangsa Islam, Kolej Universiti Linton, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, and Taylor’s University.

The five-day programme was concluded on September 30, 2016 with the presentation by internees to share the information of QA systems in their countries and what they have been learned during the internship that can be related and benefited to their own systems.
